Her kindness felt like an anchor in the middle of a storm I never saw coming. As the doctors examined me, they explained it wasn’t labor after all, but a complication that needed monitoring. Fear turned into relief, and tears slid down my face.

When I came out of the room, Clara stood up immediately, her expression filled with concern. When they finally cleared me to go home, she insisted on helping me get to my car and made sure I wasn’t alone until my husband arrived. Before she left, she hugged me and said, “No mother should face fear by herself.” I never saw her again, but her compassion stays with me.
