Standing arm in arm outside Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre, the couple was stopped by “Live From E!” correspondent Zuri Hall, who delivered the bombshell introduction.

“We didn’t get to see each other from January ’til June 16,” she recalled. “But we created an intimacy… that we wouldn’t have gotten if we’d have been together all of that time… We’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since June 16 of 2020.”
In a candid May 2025 interview, McEntire peeled back the curtain on what keeps their relationship so strong. “Well, Rex and I get along in every aspect,” she stated. “He’s a better cook than I am, so I like that, for sure. We love Longhorns, we love the cowboy way of life, cowgirl way of life, and we both got into the entertainment industry.”
